The Back up Pace car from the GM collection.

NAO X 8298 CTF PR 9248

This is another car I have driven. Aluminum 350, Cyclone Headers, LT-1 engine internals, Cross fire injection system 255 HP with Z28E (export) clear headlight covers.

Who is bidding?

This is a one of a kind car for any collection.

Thanks to Mike Lakin for bringing this one to my attention.

I think they're having issues. I could not log in earlier, said email or password didn't match, could not create a new account, and now site is down, "Bad Gateway".

Observed body damage in 1998. Also one of the Eagles had a leak and kept going flat while on tour.

GM is sadly giving this car zero love. It is going across with the cheap stuff on Monday January 20th and it could really sell cheap because the money is not yet in the room.

Lot #150. You can see it sell on the livestream however.

At least the days of crushing cars like this appear to be gone for the time being.

Phil thx for sharing. Should be an interesting show this year. The docket includes 25 !! Pace Cars of various makes/ models/ years (Mostly GM plus a '79 Mustang). About half of them appear to be from GM Heritage collection. There also are quite a few from private collections. Surprisingly (for such a large number) no '69 IPC's on the docket. Additionally a large collection of TV & movie car replicas.

Sadly, many are listed with a disclaimer indicating they are not street-legal and selling with 'scrap' title. "THE VEHICLE IS NOT CERTIFIED TO COMPLY WITH ANY FEDERAL, STATE OR LOCAL LAWS, RULES OR REGULATIONS AND MAY NOT BE DRIVEN ON PUBLIC ROADS. THIS VEHICLE WILL BE CONVEYED TO BUYER WITH A ""SCRAP"" TITLE. **SOLD ON SCRAP TITLE** "

SOLD $65,000

The car received extra attention from the block which no doubt helped it.
